Miguel Paredes was born in New York of a Latin American descent.He is a self-motivated artist who combines the effervescence of New York graffiti art with the skill and perceptiveness of a true, exceptional artist.
Growing up in the Upper West Side of Manhattan,Paredes exuded early signs of artistic ability and was accepted to New York City's prominent Fiorello La Guardia High School of Music and Art.His studies at Fiorello is where he demonstrated his talent as an outstanding art painter. Paredes - also known as 'Mist' - leaped intothe world of Graffiti and pop art concurring with the upsurge of street culture, Hip-hop, break-dancing, and graffiti tagging with the impact of artists like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. In the years 1993 to 1995, Paredes took a studio at the Art Center of South Florida where,at a young age, he became one of their most prosperous artists focusing mainly on mixed media and conceptual art. He has shown with artist as Ronnie Cutrone, Skot Olsen, Tes One, And Sas and Colin Christian. He now comes together with the Miami Ink Crew as 'Mike Walls' with a twist of Japan animation and urban and tattoo elements.

Hi This is Zara Lockwood's Personal blog (that does have stuff on it I sell too!) - I will be looking at light hearted current affairs and bit's from the UK, memories, photos etc. Currently living in south west of UK (Bridgwater, Somerset), have lived in Glastonbury, London, Burnham-on-sea, Reading, born in Plymouth, ancestors all over UK and USA - so we are probably related if you have European or UK roots!
