Haven't been here in a while, off exploring twitterland, making websites & generally throwing ideas about.

This year I might try and do some instructional blogs on arts and craft subjects as I'm interested in felt and basic sewing/knitting at the moment - tried rug making last year but all my rugs came out mis shapped, might need to look up why they did that!

I can't be bothered to maintain all my web hosting accounts so I am just going to let everything expire, I might keep lemons.ws and jackrussell.ws as they are quite cool, maybe coffeedrinker.org...

Setting up a club system was my original plan... as well, time to move on try different things.

Hello, not been about for a bit - busy working on a product - it's a very simple one - but I am writing a blueprint for it as I go, so if people want that they can buy it in a package with the actual product - abit like a pop up tent or biz in a box.

Mapping things out as I go, may help some folks understand some simple webby processes and save some cash maybe - stuff will include building a website from scratch, inc. a membership site with private download area - then adding the content of the membership site which helps a group of people do something in an organised way, the first site will cover team building as you need to be pretty organised to do that.

Went to Sand bay for the first time in a year, yesterday, first time for Maggie with us. (Sand bay is a little cove with beach, a couple shops and some vacation accommodation near Weston-super-Mare)

Here's some photos of it on a cloudy day:

You can see Birnbeck pier in the distance (was HMS Birnbeck during World War 2) currently closed to public, they tested the 'bouncing bomb' in these waters. The beach is further around on the left, out of sight here.

The hill is called Worlebury Woods (the Victorians planted trees on it, when they turned the Weston/Worle/Kewstoke into a summer retreat for Londoners) and had a Roman Fort on once, the grain pits can still be found up there. My mom bumped into a group of lost tourists up there once, they were all dressed in suits and it was thick with mud, she told them to watch out for the pits (in a strong farmer/countryside accent) as the Roman's used to bury people in them too, lolz, they were very polite apparently :-)

This is from the same spot but looking to the right - the crocodile shaped land mass is called Sandpoint, home to sheep and cows, There is an abbey somewhere around there called the Priory. Wetlands are infront, an Ice cream van is usually at the base of sandpoint, loos are currently closed, hopefully they will do up building and open as a cafe - with loos instead!

Haven't done much else, figured out how to get the app store working on the android tablet, I'm still thinking of getting a nokia again as it's RSS reader and size is easier for holding/reading news in bed, but not sure if it's worth the risk, I'm still playing majong on the nokia as the app store is still not working well enough to give me games.

Sunny day again in Blighty, Apart from bin laden the news here seems to be a wash with Pippa Middleton, sister of Royal Kate, I think the majority of google searches are by men, as all the lads on talksport (the only national talkradio station in UK) seem to be talking about her, but it could be younger women looking to pick up fashion tips.

I remember when Charles and Di got married and all women were trying to look like Diana - I remember the flicked hair, set rock solid with hair spray, of the older girls in my neighbourhood, I've got pictures of women I drew at the time (as a kid) that all looked like little Diana clones, I will have to dig out those books a digitze some of my childhood stuff at some point.

Just about to take the dogs out again, brandy bear is still wanting to meet the boy dogs, maggie wonders what all the fuss is, but loves the extra walks that brandy is taking us on to calm herself down.

Blogfrog - yep need to get active in there, see if their are any more single folk jumping on board.

Lots of walking with the dogs today, to try and burn off some of the stress I get on a daily basis - I read breathing in the green grass and flowers is meant to be a mood lifter, the dogs seem happier outside at the moment, skipping through the wild flowers, bless 'em.

created the banner above - a feature I forgot about feedburner, you can add your own background to the headline animator. So I'm putting that on all my networks, I will probably make one for special offers - maybe a square.

What i didn't know is that these banners are 'grab this' buttons I'm sure the text used to lead to feedburner - but it now allows webmasters to copy my actual banner - maybe it has always done this and I didn't notice.

Twitter - I am retweeting lemon related tweets and some ecademy posts - free members can't actually 'like' on Ecademy's own system without upgrading these days - I have no problems tweeting peoples blogs I follow, they are going through a similar thing that gumtree did - break up of the community core - may well reform with new people or not, depending on where the owners take it

- prospect networking has many of the blogging/active ecademists these days - 200 members, real people that I probably know most of them from ecademy, not sure even if ecad made it free again, it would bring back the old crew, so I guess they have to niche it and hope for the best.

I'd pay a nominal fee, as I say before I pay $4.95 for blogfrog a month as I don't want it to die like mybloglog did, and women need all the breaks they can get in this business world! I pay $2.95 for a basic ning, not sure how they are fairing, very locked down for basic membership - but hey it's cheap, I am the only member of my ning network (on purpose) as i use it for storage of ideas I have rather than socializing, an on-line desk top I guess, that could be opened up to friends if I was working on something with them.

Okay, so off-line, watched the Royal Wedding as you do if you are a Brit of the age that remembers the street parties in UK when Charles and Di got married.

I'm not going to go into the wealth debate...

Stuff - joined a site called empire avenue - it looks like a more complicated version of friends for sale

I got myself a cheap tablet pc with wifi off eBay - it's an earlier/used version but is good enough to see what tweaks I can make to my blogs with it's functions (android 1.6) I think I will need to be looking at some tablet/mobile templates for blogs, as it is like going back 10 years in some ways - I have a fast web connection, but I found the limitations of the device within a few hours of playing with it - no problems though, for the price - I got it for well under $50 including p&p :-)

The tablet will help me in other ways I'm sure, it got me to build a web page for find things quickly for a start - mobile gubbins is somewhere to store my bookmarks, the ones I read in bed to catch up on what people are doing and sites/forums I chat in - example I catch up with techcrunch / business insider via facebook as it is quick loading and you can leave comments.

Other things - the doggette brandy is still on heat, so she is on the lead a couple more weeks yet.

I've had tooth ache last couple days so that has been nagging me, got some strong(ish) painkillers to knock that on the head.

Having a sort out to create another lot for a carboot sale, I still get the urge to become an Auction trading assistant as places like eBay are still the easiest places to sell stuff other than yard sales or classifieds - then it's only profit in pennies, it surprises me that anyone makes a full or even part time living on-line, really does...

Anyway going to go now before it depresses me too much thinking about it.

I've been looking at various diets, I will probably make up my own, focusing on hiit and fat burning foods as they seem to be popular and make some sort of sense - oats and lemons are fat burning I think.

What else, Brandy, my Jack Russell is on heat so she's having to stay on the lead for the next few weeks or she runs after anyone she thinks might have a dog with them!

Think I have hayfever, it's been building up over the years, so off to the chemist tomorrow to get some tablets for it.

Will start on a painting of lemons soon, need to finish my neighbours doggie portrait, haven't started on the reviews yet as I fell out the wordpress, need to look up some new blogger templates for some of my network tonight, thinking of healthy eating again as I've put all the weight I lost last year back on, spring and summer time is a good time to start healthy eating as, fruit and salad are great when it's hot, need to work out winter food for this winter - maybe get a wok and go the stir fry route in winter, quit red meat again, currently drinking juice of a fresh lemon a day in water or lemonade.

All things lemon and yellow, yep I can do that.

Crazy mood swings continued all day, got angry about wordpress, it used to be so simple, now you are expected to mess with all the settings to prevent hackers, I might like it again if they invent a proper tool to secure it - i.e I'm not fiddling with file permissions and don't do htaccess SQL malarky- I just want something that plugs and plays - blogger is better at all that tweaking then me! - so the buddypress club is not happening - I'll use something else.

Anyway cheered up a bit when I found some google insight tools which lead me to the dukan diet, which looks a bit like the atkins diet but you eat oats - need to check which sort of oats - it looks like my diet already except all the sweets I eat on top... o_O

Got a feeling that oats might be one of those fat burning foods like lemon is.

Anyway slightly less stressed now, so going to bed (it's just gone 11pm here in UK) usually I am reading the news on my tablet by now in bed, getting real withdrawal symptoms, bank holiday on monday, I will be waiting by the mail box like a puppy.

Sunny day here in UK, blue sky, dogs are lounging about the house.

My mood has been up and down like a yo yo last couple days, withdrawal symptoms from lack of web access in bed is partly to blame as I catch up on news and surf facebook friends walls in bed to keep me connected with events, I've snagged myself a bargain tablet on eBay - but I won't know for sure until it's in my hands and working, but hopefully I will be able to login to blogger, twitter and my blog frog community easier as it's an android tablet.

Next on my buying wish list - is a skype phone (hand held) which might encourage me to communicate verbally with people, and I want a hand free headset that is connected to the landline so I can make the most of the website hosting service I offer, as if I have my handfree I can look up domain names for people and get their accounts set up 'live'.

Other stuff i've got to do is get my ebook store sorted out - I have a shop system, loaded with default ebooks, but I want to add my own selection and maybe give way the $1.00 book for free - I wonder if paypal do a voucher code system ? - other option is I could include free membership to my ebook club if a person purchases a $1.00 book - I will probably get kindle books on there too, the ebook store has lots of potential, needs tweaking, but John Thornhill did a good customization of a public domain store, so he is still one of my fav. marketers from UK!

Adding things to Lemons.ws more than other sites on my network at the moment as lemons and the coffee niche are my two of most interest, however I might look up some new blogger templates for others with a 'read more' layout.

lots to keep me busy, I have 4 reviews to write, and i have started taking mental notes on films I watch (will use tablet when arrives) to make use of the BT vision box I was saddled with - at least it can stream stuff now! (BT vision is like an internet TV box that streams movies, provided by BT which are like the equivalent of AT&T in the States.

Hello world

Okay I am here, haven't written a personal blog for a long while, I was going to start this one up on my old nokia tablet, but i think the wi-fi gizmo has broken on it, so it is just an ebook reader at the moment.

So to day i have been looking for a suitable, easy javascript image slide show, that doesn't involve any messing - just copy and paste and change a few values - I like scripts that take under 10 minutes to set up and get set when ever possible, found an animated script that I think will be suitable for the top of lemons.ws - i.e I wanted a range of images to pass buy the viewer that stop if a person hovers the mouse, and after several hours looking about found one.

What else I have been up to today?

Well walked the dogs, it has been sunny here, my mom came over and we had chicken.

Watched 'the walking dead' on channel 5, going to bed soon, i miss the wi-fi in bed :-( I will have to save up for a cheap tablet, i wish my phone company (BT) would let customers pay for items via their phone bill in bits, I'm sure they used to do something like that.

Now I see what the middle classes have to worry about in UK (as well as the unemployed) council tax help and child care help is NOT included, at present in the new system (universal credit) this white paper is from within government - and addresses their concerns - that UC is going to cause a lot of poop to hit the fan amidst growing unemployment, it basically worries that this all means more people are going to break the law, because more PUNISHMENTS are being put in place where ***MORE people can potentially break the law by accident***

The lady whom faked cancer on channel 5 news - interesting story it's not showing up in google - I wonder if they are worried about copy cat fakes ? - as someone pretending to have a terminal illness for sympathy must have something seriously wrong mentally - there are other cases on this that are showing up, same system of shaving head and faking chemo etc. - Why are they so quick to right off women that do things like this as con artists ? - I'd say it was an mental illness of some sort like anorexia - the lack on guilty feels or self loathing for telling your own pre school kids you are 'dying soon' is clearly not right - the woman that hid her kid in a bed for money, has the same mental disorder, same as that America soldier woman that abused people in Iraq - maybe they are psychotic ? and should be getting treatment rather than being made lepers by society. http://bit.ly/eM3LHH

A campaign that needs to attention - this man's example of paying taxes for 40 years only to be treated like the dirt on someone's shoe when he got a disability - read the comments they nearly all from people that are either wheel chair bound or caring for someone with cancer / cerebral palsy.

This disabled people feel they are being treated like criminal for not being abled bodied - while government talk of closing youth centres, libraries, CAB's legal aid and buses - not doubt they see anything not reclassified as 'big society' as a labour quango that needs to be cut to bits

When's Ed Milliband going to join the conservative party then ? LOL
